As all know, are many pilots experts in fast flying, but a litte trained in slow flying, what is very needful when landing. And slow flying is not easy, but airoplanes should be able for this in the same way as for fast flying. Ideal is a new airoplane, what is able to make 150 miles per hour, but - if it is needed, can go down to 20 miles p.h. . view

German USA unidentified newspaper Akyab, Dornier Franco Great Britain, Mac Laren Vickers-Napier Spain Vulture Amphibian Times: The Times of the 28th of May reported why the British World flyer Mac Laren had to stop his undertaking with an emergency landing in Akyab, in which the airplane was heavily damaged.
The reason was, that the body of the flying boat, a Vickers-Napier Vulture Amphibian, was made of wood. After the wood was totaly dried in the heat of the desert, Mac Laren reached aeras of heavy rain, which extended the wood construction again, but also distorted the airplane so much, that his flying ability went dramaticly down. The speed went down to 75 miles, what was enough, not keep the airplane in air, though the engine worked perfect. When he started in Akyab, the airplane just won enought height to pass the trees near the airfield. So he decided for an emergency landing over the coming sea. But close over the water, he could no longer hold the plane in the air and it splashed in the water, what demaged the body.
This lesson may cause, that Great Britain, who still was holding on wooden fuselages, will now change to metal constructed airplanes, as Germany already did some time before. In this respect we point on the Spanish Captain Franco, who succeeded to fly in winter time and under bad weather from Spain to the Canary Islands and back. He used a standard German Dornier big plane, that before made service in the desert of Nort-Africa for longer times. It had no problems, to start and land on open sea with big waves, that would have destroyed any other known hydroplanes, as neutral French reports explained. With such an airplane, with no doubt, Mac Laren would have finished his world flying project successfully.

The US pilots felt sorry, that they could not accept, being accompanied by a Junkers airplane. So their planes have 450 hp engines, the Junkers plane with a 185 BMW engine would be much faster and they would lose it soon. That this is true, proves the more than 2 hours flight from Budapast to Vienna, what means, that the US airplanes are with 110 to 115 km per hour over ground much slower, as the US publications allways declared.

Paris. The 'Intransigeant' had published that the Conference of the Attachés will offer Germany diffent solutions to the international airtraffic within the next few days. As known had the Conference of Attachés ordered new restrictions to the German use of airplanes on the 14th of April 1922. 1923 some of the restrictions were dropped, but Germany forbid the international aircompanies to overfly German territory, if the international territories would not be opened for German aircrafts as well. This led to a mutuall agreement with Great Britain, that could be cancelled within 3 month. Now, on the 10th of Januar, the new restrictions will be dropped again, and interpreting the note of the 'Intransigeant' means, that the conference had agreed to a contract of mutuall. But the Allied Control Office will be instructed to strong contolling ot the German air-industry. On the end, Germany will be asked, to enter the treaty of the 13th of October 1919, that regulates the right to all members of the pact, to overfly the territoy of other members of the pact.

Berlin. The 'Intransigeant' had published the intention of the Conference of the Attachés, to ratify a mutuall agreement with Germany. But there is no official statement on that yet. The 'T.U.' got information form spheres of aeronautics, that they will only accept the complete fall of all restrictions of building aircrafts as basis for an international teamwork. The end of all old restictions should not be compensated by new restrictictions, as the local control of German airplants would be.

Dr. Eckener of the Zeppelin plant will visit Madrid in the forthcoming days to talk about organising a Trans-Atlantic route from Spain to South America. Additional, an airconnection Berlin - Sevilla will be established. It is not yet clear, who will be responsible for all, but in 4 weeks, the Zeppelin plant will start building an airship, for which the construction plans are allready made. The construction differs much from the last built ZRII (US Los Angeles), as cockpit and passenger rooms must be completely seperate. The seats of the passenger cabine must be convertible to beds. Another problem is the construction of airship halls in Spain and on the South Aerican coast, which can be solved only by German companies. The start of the airroute Berlin - Sevilla will be 1927. That connects Spain to the European airline network.

As reported by our correspondent in London, did the Daily Express publish an article of General Growes, who is in charge of the British Air Ministery, about the enormous succes of the German aeronautical developement within the last month. He showed by a time-schedule of the German Lufthansa, that Germany is streching his fangs not only to the nothern and eastern part of Europe, but also over a big part of Asia until Wladiwostok. This is the success of the big money support , which comes in some parts from the German Government, which uses the German succes as propaganda for Germany. If Great Britain is not willing to see a demand for puplic support of the aeronautical developement, Germany will reache as much advantage in airtraffic as allready France has and Great Britain could never again draw level.

German Bolivia, Germany German newspaper from Nürnberg Aero LLoyd, Mayor Bilbao, Bolivia, Caudron, Cochabamla, Germany, La Paz, Sucre
The Bolivian airfield of La Paz is with 4091 m above sea level the highest placed airfield of the word. It needs, as Mayor Bilbao explanes, high concentration and much skills, to start and land the here stationed military Caudron aircrafts under that condition of low airpreasure and unexpected windinfluences, especially as the coldness during wintertime is comperable to Sibiria. Building the airfield was extrem problematic and had cost 3 times that much as an airfield in Europe and caused many accidences, some even with deadly results.
So civil flying is very important for a country of this size and with undeveloped road-connections, there are yet near to no airconnections in Bolivia. Only the German airline Aero Lloyd Bloivia is serving the connection Cochabamla - Sucre.
